Warranty Policy

This policy explains how warranty works for products and services supplied by CraftWeb Technology Services Pvt. Ltd., and how to raise a warranty claim.

Warranty applicability depends on the specific product or service and the applicable terms. Not every product or service carries a warranty.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Warranty Policy applies to products and services supplied by CraftWeb Technology Services Pvt. Ltd. (“CraftWeb”), including physical IT products, new and refurbished hardware, software and digital licenses, and IT services, implementation and project work.

Whether a warranty applies, and its terms, are determined by the applicable product listing, quotation, invoice, order confirmation, manufacturer or vendor warranty documentation, or other applicable commercial terms.

This policy should be read together with those product-specific terms and our Terms & Conditions. Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under applicable law.

3. Manufacturer / Vendor Warranty

• Many new products carry a warranty provided directly by the manufacturer, its authorized service network or the vendor, where applicable.

• The duration, scope and claim process of a manufacturer or vendor warranty are set by that manufacturer or vendor and may differ between products and models.

• Manufacturer warranty terms may require product registration, proof of purchase or compliance with the manufacturer's own procedures.

• CraftWeb will share the warranty information available to it for the product and, where appropriate, help you with the manufacturer or vendor claim process.

4. CraftWeb-Supplied Warranty

• A warranty provided by CraftWeb applies only where it is explicitly stated on the product listing, quotation, invoice or order confirmation.

• Where stated, its duration and scope are as specified in that documentation.

• A CraftWeb-supplied warranty is separate from any manufacturer or vendor warranty, and the two may cover different periods or components.

5. Warranty Eligibility

A warranty claim may be considered where, as applicable:

• The product or service carries a warranty under the applicable terms.

• The claim is raised within the applicable warranty period.

• Valid proof of purchase, such as the invoice or order details, is available.

• The product serial number or identifying details match the purchase records, where applicable.

• The reported fault is not caused by any of the circumstances described in Sections 7 and 8.

6. What Is Covered

Subject to the applicable product warranty, coverage may include manufacturing defects or hardware failures occurring under normal intended use during the applicable warranty period.

Coverage is defined by the applicable warranty terms. Not every failure or fault is covered.

7. What Is Not Covered

Subject to the applicable warranty terms and law, the following are generally not covered by a hardware warranty:

• Normal cosmetic wear and tear

• Consumable parts and accessories, where applicable

• Software, operating system or configuration issues

• Data loss, data corruption or data recovery

• Faults reported after the applicable warranty period

• Products or services that do not carry a warranty

Hardware warranty does not automatically include data recovery. Please maintain independent backups of your data.

8. Warranty Exclusions

Warranty coverage may be affected or excluded where a fault results from:

• Physical damage

• Liquid damage

• Burns or electrical damage

• Incorrect voltage or power supply

• Unauthorized modification or tampering

• Unauthorized repair

• Broken, altered or removed seals or serial numbers, where applicable

• Misuse or failure to follow operating instructions

• Improper installation

• Use outside recommended specifications

• Damage caused by external equipment

• Accidents

These exclusions apply subject to the applicable warranty terms and applicable law.

BACK UP YOUR DATA FIRST

• You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data, especially for servers, workstations and storage devices.

• Warranty service may involve diagnosis, repair, reinstallation or hardware replacement, which can affect stored data.

• Please back up important data before submitting equipment for service. CraftWeb is not responsible for customer data backup unless this is specifically agreed in writing.

• If the issue is found to be outside the scope of the applicable warranty, you may be informed of paid repair or service options, where available.

12. Repair, Replacement or Other Resolution

Depending on the applicable warranty, the resolution may include:

• Repair of the product

• Replacement of a component

• Replacement of the product

• Handling of the claim by the manufacturer or distributor

• Another remedy provided under the applicable warranty terms

The appropriate resolution depends on the applicable warranty terms and the outcome of verification. Not every warranty claim results in a replacement or refund.

• Warranty logistics depend on the product and the warranty provider.

• You may be required to ship the product or make it available for inspection.

• Responsibility for transportation costs depends on the applicable warranty or order terms.

14. Software and Digital License Limitations

• Software licenses are generally governed by the applicable publisher's license and support terms.

• Software activation and license validity are distinct from a physical hardware warranty.

• Software functionality, updates and support are provided by the publisher according to its own terms.

• Issues with invalid, incorrect or non-working license keys are handled under the Refund & Cancellation Policy and the applicable product terms.

REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY →

15. IT Services, AMC and Project Deliverables

• A warranty for installation, configuration, implementation, AMC or project deliverables exists only where it is explicitly stated in the quotation, statement of work (SOW), service agreement or project documentation.

• Where such a warranty is provided, its scope and duration are as stated in that documentation and may differ between projects.

• The method of delivering any warranty service for a project is as agreed in that documentation.

• Third-party hardware supplied as part of a project remains subject to its own applicable hardware warranty.

16. Refurbished / Used Equipment

REFURBISHED, USED AND OPEN-BOX ITEMS

• Refurbished products may carry a limited seller warranty or a manufacturer warranty only when this is explicitly stated.

• Where a warranty applies, its period is stated on the product page, quotation, invoice or warranty documentation.

• Cosmetic signs of previous use do not constitute a warranty defect where they have been disclosed.

• Individual components may have different warranty coverage, where explicitly specified.

• A warranty on refurbished equipment does not automatically mean the same coverage as a brand-new product.

• For used or open-box products, warranty availability depends on the specific item. If no warranty is offered, this should be stated on the product listing.

17. Warranty Period

The applicable warranty period, if any, is the period specified in the applicable:

• Product listing

• Quotation

• Invoice

• Order confirmation

• Manufacturer or vendor warranty documentation

• Other applicable commercial terms

The warranty start date is also determined by that documentation and may be based, for example, on the invoice date, activation or registration, the manufacturer's warranty records, or the dispatch or delivery date.

18. Third-Party Warranty

• Brands, product names and trademarks of third-party products remain the property of their respective owners.

• Warranties for third-party products may be provided by the manufacturer, distributor or supplier according to their own terms, and may be administered by them directly.

• Where appropriate, CraftWeb may help coordinate a third-party warranty claim, but the outcome is determined by the third-party warranty provider.

19. Limitation of Warranty

• To the extent permitted by applicable law, warranty remedies are limited to those stated in the applicable warranty terms.

• Unless expressly stated, a warranty does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

• Warranty transferability depends on the applicable manufacturer, product or seller terms. Please do not assume that a warranty automatically transfers to another owner.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any rights or remedies that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
